The Dr Lal Path Labs franchise has a team of scientists, microbiologists, pathologists, and medical laboratory technologists along with the support personnel. The first lab of the Dr Lal Path Labs franchise was established in 1949 and are categorised into main laboratory, clinical trial laboratory, satellite laboratories, central consolidated laboratory, reference laboratory and R & D laboratory.

Dr Lal Path Labs’ laboratories are equipped with highly advanced and sophisticated testing instruments in fields of the histopathology, hematology, biochemistry both routine and specialised, microbiology, cytopathology, immunology and serology. In order to achieve its aim to offer leading pathology laboratory services, the Dr Lal Path Labs franchise formed an International Alliance with Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute (Formerly known as Corning Nichols Institute) in 1995.

This alliance was formed to test the rare and complex investigations of the laboratory franchise. Thereby, Dr Lal Path Labs became the first Pathology lab to provide patients with the facility of testing samples in the United States, without having to leave the country.
