Amit Jatia, the Managing Director of Hardcastle Restaurants, joined the McDonald’s family as the youngest Joint Venture Partner in the year 1995. He took hands on training for a year at McDonald’s in Jakarta (Indonesia) as well as a degree in Hamburgerology from the Hamburger University, Oak Brook (Illinois, USA). He was also nominated for "The Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence" as "Entrepreneur of the Year" in 2004 and 2005.
