Kids education through the Kangaroo Kids franchise

The Kangaroo Kids franchise was established by Ms. Lina Ashar in 1993. The first preschool of this kids franchise was set up in Bandra, Mumbai with a capacity of 25 students. The kids’ education franchise had exciting, activity based curricula appropriate to the age of the kids and this made the school very popular among both the parents and children.

By 1994 this school of the Kangaroo Kids franchise was functioning in two shifts and had increased to 125 students. The reputation of the kids franchise and its methodology motivated Ms. Ashar to analyse the possibilities of opening and expanding new branches. The <ul type="continuous"><cf number="2">&#8217;</cf></ul>kids education franchise appointed the first education partner for Santa Cruz in Mumbai in 1995. Ms. Ashar opened the first Gymbaroo centre in 1997 in Khar, Mumbai.

This excellent concept of a mother-toddler activity club paved a new path in India and it has received many accolades. Major expansion plans were seen in 1999, when the Kangaroo Kids franchise opened a Gymbaroo centre in Mumbai and many more. In 2000, Kangaroo Kids Preschool was started at G. D. Somani Memorial School and this was an outstation education partner in Delhi.

Currently, the Kangaroo Kids franchise has 56 schools operating in 15 cities across India, along with one international centre in Dubai.
