New online Indian franchise directory launched

Online publishing specialists Catch, in association with the Franchise Association of India (FAI), has launched Franchisebusiness.in, providing potential franchisees with the most comprehensive online directory of India’s franchise systems on the web.The partnership will enable potential franchisees to find, research and apply directly to virtually every franchise in India.

Catch is run by a management team of more than 50 years of online experience between them and currently has six business directories under its belt. With a track record for converting search engine traffic into franchise applications, last month Catch’s portfolio of sites was visited by more than 688,000 users and more than 2.5 million pages were viewed.

The FAI is the peak industry body for franchising in India and represents franchisees, franchisors and franchise consultants. The mission of the FAI is to tap into the enormous potential entrepreneurial energy in India by supporting franchising.

Franchisebusiness.in comes after an extremely successful partnership between Catch and the Franchise Council of Australia.

The resulting website, Franchisebusiness.com.au, is performing well. As of January 2007, 54,000 people visited and used the directory. A staggering 250,000 pages were viewed, with 17,000 visits to franchisor websites listed in the directory and an impressive 3500 direct email leads were sent to franchisors. The Indian directory will be based on the successful Australian model.

Franchisebusiness.in will be India’s most comprehensive franchise directory, with almost every Indian franchise business listed. It will allow franchisors to recruit potential franchisees effectively and existing franchisees will be able to access the site’s vast collection of India’s franchise service providers.
