The Speciality and Alliances of the AFL Franchise
AFL has been in the limelight for a long time. In February 2006, AFL launched AFL TouchWorld, India's first 'Convenience Services' retail chain. The various services offered at the AFL TouchWorld store include Forex, Money Transfer, international Telephony, International & Domestic Courier, Travel Insurance and E-Ticketing.
In the same year, AFL tied up with Cartridge World, the world’s leading printer cartridge refilling brand to set up 250 stores in India. AFL became the master franchisee for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and The Maldives. This tie up introduced the unique cartridge refilling concept through ‘Cartridge World’ stores to consumers and businesses, for the first time in these countries, starting with India.
AFL has an equity stake in Unifreight Private Limited, a road transport company, which is a back-end service provider for AFL Logistics’ transportation needs. It also has a similar stake in Franch Express Private Limited, the dominant regional express courier company in South India, which provides most extensive reach to AFL Domestic Express business in South India.
AFL was the recipient of the “Market Leadership Award” Given by Frost & Sullivan, an International Consulting Company. 30.05.2007
